Now Divisional Manager for CM Specialist Vehicles, her overall experience and dedication to the business is to be put to use in the continued growth of the business and the committed team.

    As the longest serving member of the CM Specialist team, Brian has been an integral cog of the businesses since he joined the team in 1971 in the trim shop of sister company Coleman Milne. Brian is now responsible for a team of 75 staff and ensures the smooth day to day running of the production facility.

    Simon joined the company in 2011 as Design Engineer responsible for the design of vehicle layouts, design components and generating designs for bespoke reqiorements. His previous experience includes designing fire engines for TVAC and has a BSc in product Design.

    Following a Management buy out, Woodall Nicholson became holding company for Coleman Milne & Mellor Coachcraft

    Plaxton Group purchased ADT consisting Henlys Ford, Coleman Milne & Mellor Coachcraft

  • 1987

    Hawley Group purchased by new ADT who closed the Halifax branch and centred operations in Bolton

  • 1985

    Hawley Group purchased Henlys and Coleman Milne

  • Mellor Coachcraft was bought by the Henly Group after the death of founder Tom Mellor

    WN & Hawley Group merged and CM became specialist in Funeral Vehicle conversions

    Coleman Milne was sold to the Hawley Group

    Mellor built it’s first passenger carrying vehicle for Manchester City Council

    Coleman Milne became well known for Ford Vehicle Conversions for the funeral trade

    Coleman Milne established at Bolton by partners John Coleman & Roderick Milne

  • 1933

    Under new management, Woodall-Nicholson began specialise in converting used Rolls-Royce chassis into hearses

    Following the death of Thomas, control was passed to son Charles who specialised in building bespoke bodywork for various prominent motor manufacturers

    Thomas Woodall Nicolson bought & re launched Piercey’s under his own name
